The Holidays

There will not be a meditation on Sunday December 17 and 24. We will have a session on December 31 at 10:30 am but not on January 7 2018.  We will start our regular sessions January 14. See you then!

The meditation for the next two weeks is:

Lovingkindness:

Recite each verse 1, 3, or 7 times.

“May I be happy.”

“May I be peaceful and at ease.”

“May I be well.”

“May I be filled with lovingkindness.”

[Send lovingkindness to yourself. Say it slowly, gently and without expectation.]

 

“May Sally be happy.”

“May she be peaceful and at ease.”

“May she be well.”

“May she be filled with lovingkindness.”

[Send lovingkindness to someone for whom you have a natural affection. Visualize, feel the essence of that person, or simply name them, then recite the above phrases.]

 

“May the “man at the bank” be happy.”

“May he be peaceful and at ease.”

“May he be well.”

“May he be filled with lovingkindness.”

[Send lovingkindness to someone that you neither like nor dislike.]

 

“May Sally be happy.”

“May she be peaceful and at ease.”

“May he be well.”

“May he be filled with lovingkindness.”

[Send lovingkindness to someone that you dislike.]

 

“May all beings be happy.”

“May all beings be peaceful and at ease.”

“May all beings be well.”

“May all beings be filled with lovingkindness.”
